Clumber Park

A huge National Trust park, with a beautiful seven mile round lake and acres of woodland including a campsite for all those keen campers. with a cute little courtyard with a couple of shops and cafe restaurant. We love going here as its SO big and hours of family fun, Louie loves watching the geese and swans around the lake.

Rufford Abbey/Park

A Beautiful Abbey surrounded by loads of greenery and woodlands, including lakes. has the loveliest courtyard with a cafe and shops and a man made beach for the summer months. We absolutely Love visiting here

Creswell Craggs

A Gorge between Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire with some amazing history including ice age old caves including a world famous art cave. Aa well as the age old caves there is a museum to take a look around and discover some great history. Additionally there are are some great opportunities for schools and clubs to build and creat send and explore the area or why not take part in the guided tour to find out more? There is even the opportunity to take a photo with their mammoth and green screen! It’s not just about the caves and history here as great as that may be to some there are some walking trails to explore. I’ve been wanting to visit here for a while after my brother went on a school trip but still haven’t been yet.

Attenborough Nature Reserve

The nature centre is an award winning education facility as well as visitor centre surrounded by the beautiful water and trails of the Nature reserve including a peaceful l nature garden and bird hides! With events happening for everyone this is definitely somewhere to add to the list of places to go! Of course there is cafe to take a break from exploring and have a drink or even.. cake!!

Wollaton Park

Achres of land surrounding Wollaton hall including the Nottingham Natural History Museum as well as another museum! When taking a walk through the gardens why not stop at the deer park?! This is definitely a place I will be visiting in the near future for a family day out!

Newstead Abbey

With lots of greenery and parkland Newstead Abbey includes beautiful lakes and ponds filled with geese, swans and ducks as well as gorgeous gardens and rockery with streams including stepping stones. After viewing this lovely place stop at the cafe for a warming drink or a bit of food! This is definitely another place added to my list!
